Also on the first day, students complete two note cards with the following information - one for my car, one for home:
Front: Name, cell phone number if they have one (which I promise to call the first time I have a problem instead of calling home), their guardians' name(s), guardians' phone number (which I promise to call with positive things -- not just problems.)
Back: The other three classes my students take and the teachers' names; any coaches names
